I Am Poem

Here is my I Am Poem.

I Am Phillip

By Lucas Snyder

I am stubborn and well educated.

I wonder if Miss. Narwin will be fired and retire.

I hear Dr. Palleni expelling me.

I see myself excelling on the track.

I want to be on the track team.

I am stubborn and well educated.

I pretend to make the track team.

I feel the gold medal around my neck.

I touch my gold medal.

I worry that team I will never earn passing grades.

I cry because I don’t know the words to the National Anthem.

I am stubborn and well educated.

I understand that I can’t make it on the track team yet.

I say this is all unnecessary.

I dream I will be on the track team.

I try to earn passing grades.

I hope this will stop.

I am stubborn and well educated.
